Freeview Logo

There has been some confusion over the different types of Freeview. Terrestrial ( UHF ) ( HD ) or Freeview with an aerial is aimed at the main centres with better picture quality, more channels and no set top box if your TV has Freeview built in. Satellite Freeview is for those outlying areas that cant receive a UHF signal and is only standard definition.

Freeview|HD brings TV alive with brilliant high definition pictures on all of your favourite prime time shows on ONE, TV2 & TV3 . Bring the pictures to life with Dolby Digital Surround, the clearest sound around. Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound creates a theatre quality sound experience through 2 front speaker, a centre, and 2 surround speakers - plus a sixth speaker for those powerful low-frequency effects that are felt more than heard in movie theatres. This is often known as the sub-woofer. Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound is available with Freeview in HD.
