RBI (Rural Broadband Initiative) is the government's initiative to provide fast broadband to areas outside the urban copper and fibre networks. It uses long range fixed wireless towers to provide broadband coverage to homes and businesses within range.

The wireless signal is received by an antenna installed on the roof like a TV aerial. 3G RBI delivers speeds of 5Mbps/1Mbps on average, and 4G RBI speeds are more than fast enough to stream Netflix smoothly and use multiple devices connected to the internet at once.

With the benefit of having your home number ported through a VoIP phone makes this a very viable option.

To find out if your in range of one of these towers drop us a line at Satellite Networks and we can advise you on your best options. Satellite Networks contracts to GravityWireless Nation, Spark, VodafoneFarmside, Starlink, Downer and others.

Satellite Broadband is available no matter how remote you are. If we can get power to your site, we can get you good broadband at speeds of up to 200Mbps .

With 3 different satellites beaming data into NZ and 3 different service providers, we have a few options available. At Satellite Networks we can help you make the the right decision for your needs and budget.
